It has a low oil and fibre content. Iwisa Super maize meal is a staple carbohydrate diet made into a thick porridge and is  main meal for most families in South Africa.

Often served accompanied with traditional meat and vegetable dishes, or served with tomato and onion sauce at a braai (BBQ).
